Another first for the Society – a Lunchtime event.
Following a hugely successful “first” – the Northern Event in Leeds earlier this year – we held another in June in London – a Summer Lunch.
Over 40 Old Friends and guests gathered at The Fence in Farringdon, which boasted the City’s largest beer garden.
We had exclusivity to most of the outside area and enjoyed a great atmosphere and company and a sumptuous BBQ – the food was great and never stopped appearing.
As a precaution we had covering for our area, but the weather, whilst not the warmest, stayed dry – jackets or jumpers but not wet weather gear.
A really great afternoon and our thanks to OF John Watson for organising.
It is very much our intention to repeat this event next year.
