London Clachan – September 2017

London Clachan: September 5th – The Riverside

The changing of some of the dates for the autumn events had meant that unfortunately some Old Friends who had intended to come to the London Clachan were unable to do so. This, coupled with a number of people booking holidays to start when the schools went back, resulted in a lower than usual turnout. In spite of this, The Riverside at Vauxhall proved to be a very good venue and those who did attend had a very enjoyable evening. There were several new members in attendance, including a contingent who had made their way over from Ireland, as well as a couple of prospective members who were very keen to attend future events.

The President was pleased to pass on a brief review of the River Cruise and the Brummie Clachan, both of which had been well attended, successful events. He reminded those present that the next event is the Autumn Dinner at the Victory Services Club on the 13th October with music from the Eastcoast Boys and comedy from Guest of Honour, David Baddiel.

The raffle prize of a bottle of Champagne was won by Paul Clerke.
